Why is it.... you have the time to sleep in, and you are up earlier than need be????? I have often wondered that. My 4 year old.... could have slept in this morning and he was up earlier than he gets up for a pre-school day. THAT is why I was up early on my morning to sleep in.
It's a beautiful, chilly morning here in PA. It's just been over a week that the leaves have been changing. It will be a short fall I think. No rain. Most of the leaves are falling before they get a chance to change. Fall is the perfect season here in PA. (my opinion) PA is really a beautiful state. Although I am thinking I would like to explore North Carolina. Maybe it's because I am getting older, but each year I like the snow less and less. The cold too. I think if the weather stayed between 50-70 it would be great.
I need to practice putting pics on here. I do have some wonderful frosty pics from last winter. It was well below zero.... and everything was ice coated too. Maybe I'll get one of the teens to help me this weekend.....
I started this blog to write. Not about anything special, just to get thoughts out and down. I always told my children, when I grew up I wanted to be an Author. I did start a class on writing for children. Haven't finished it, yet. I took the summer off.... I don't even know where the summer went....
Seems like yesterday we had tee-ball games and I was hosting PB&J Socials in the back yard.... Now the kids are in high school, dating, and out of school! AND where did the 4 year old come from??!! I hardly remember being pregnant with him... or him as a baby. He is my "little man".... time just goes by so fast.
I remember the first PB&J Social... We had been in our little town 1 year, and I just met the Preachers wife. About my age with 3 kids , like me! She loved to read... and craft... we decided we wanted to get together and get to know each other better.... but what to do with 6 kids?! Lunch seemed so expensive for all of us. BUT Peanut butter and jelly was cheap... to feed the kids anyhow. After spreading a blanket under the maple tree in the back yard and feeding the kids... they would run off playing... and we would have a "grown up" lunch and visit. They actually became pretty popular and we had several other Mom's join with their kids that summer. Looking back, I wonder why we didn't do it the next summer??? She has 4 kids now, like me, and has moved several times since living down the block. BUT I still consider her one of my best friends and we keep in touch. Not as often as we would like, but we are still there for one another. Seems like a lifetime ago.....
